A threat actor claims to be selling data from China Mobile (chinamobileltd.com), which includes over 1.2 billion records from 2022. The alleged data breach exposed personal information from China’s IMEI database, compromising the privacy of a significant portion of the country’s mobile phone users.

According to the threat actor, the leaked information includes highly sensitive details such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) numbers—unique identifiers used to track mobile devices. This breach has raised serious concerns about data security in China as it reportedly compromised the privacy of over 1 billion individuals.
