Hacker group UserSec has introduced a new DDoS attack service, OVERLOAD, claiming it to be one of the most powerful on the market. According to UserSec, OVERLOAD.SU utilizes an IoT botnet composed of tens of thousands of routers, optimized to bypass defenses like OVH and Datapacket in Layer 4 (L4) attacks. The service allegedly allows attackers to target multiple addresses, randomize ports, and control packet size.
For Layer 7 (L7) attacks, UserSec claims OVERLOAD.SU provides 100 Gbps throughput and employs unique methods to bypass security systems like Cloudflare and Qrator. This service, if true, could pose a significant threat to global cybersecurity defenses.
