World Leaks Ransomware Hits Thrings Solicitors and Wavenet

The World Leaks ransomware group claims to have breached multiple organizations, listing them on their dark web leak site with significant amounts of allegedly exfiltrated data. The latest list of alleged victims posted by the group includes:

  • Thrings Solicitors and Lawyers (🇬🇧): A UK Top 100 law firm providing personal and business legal services, operating out of London, Bristol, and Bath.

  • Wavenet (🇬🇧): A UK-based telecommunications and technology company specializing in cloud communication solutions and connectivity for businesses.

The group has published specific details regarding the volume of data allegedly stolen from each victim, claiming to hold over 11 TB of data from the law firm alone. The allegedly compromised data includes:

Thrings Solicitors and Lawyers:

  • Lawman Files: 4.4 TB (8,208,812 files)

  • Corporate File-Server Files: 2.7 TB (3,546,337 files)

  • Corporate NAS Files: 4.6 TB (8,492,530 files)

Wavenet:

  • Client Documents from Their Workspace: 867.8 GB (1,393,249 files)
