The Sarcoma ransomware group has allegedly added Maselli Misure S.p.A. to its list of victims, claiming to have exfiltrated a significant amount of data. Maselli Misure is a prominent Italian family-owned business based in Parma, specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative optical technology for quality control analysis. With over 70 years in the industry and a global network of partners, the company is a leading supplier of analytical instruments for critical sectors, including Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, and Petro-Chemical industries.
According to the claims made by the threat actors, a total of 49 GB of data was allegedly stolen from the company’s systems. The leak appears to contain highly sensitive corporate and personal information, posing a significant risk to the company, its employees, and its clients. The origin of this claim is a post from the ransomware group, which included sample files as proof of the breach. The exposed data reportedly includes a wide range of internal documents, from financial records to employee health information.
The leaked data allegedly includes:
- Employee medical records and fitness-for-work assessments
- Internal risk assessment documents
