American telecommunications company Airspan Networks has allegedly suffered a significant data breach, resulting in the theft of large amounts of source code. A threat actor posted the data on a hacking forum, claiming it was stolen from the company in September 2025. Airspan Networks, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, is a key developer of Radio Access Network (RAN) technology, providing critical 4G and 5G network solutions worldwide.
The threat actor published a file directory listing, revealing the comprehensive structure of what is claimed to be the company’s internal software projects and source code. The leak exposes proprietary information related to 5G technology, software development kits, and various internal tools. The exposure of such sensitive data could lead to intellectual property theft and allow malicious actors to discover potential vulnerabilities within Airspan’s products. An analysis of the leaked directory structure indicates the exposure of numerous critical components.
