The Blacknevas ransomware group claims to have breached T. Choithram And Sons, LLC. Choithrams is a prominent grocery retail chain and distributor founded in 1974, with operations in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman. The group is known for its extensive logistics network and collaborations with major FMCG brands across the region.
The threat actor alleges to have access to the company’s corporate network and claims to have coerced an IT department employee into cooperating.
According to the actor, the compromised data includes a large volume of corporate and personal information. The allegedly exfiltrated data includes:
- SQL and SAP data
- Scanned passports of nearly all employees
- Internal documents and communications
