Obscura Ransomware Allegedly Breaches MeamarGroup, WZV Warndt, Plazadental, HeavenlyDental, The Fixing Company, and Rulmaksan Makina

The Obscura ransomware group has allegedly added six new international companies to its dark web leak site, claiming responsibility for a series of cyberattacks. The victims span multiple industries, including real estate, utilities, healthcare, and construction, indicating a wide-ranging campaign by the threat actors. According to the group’s posts, data has been exfiltrated from the victims’ networks, but no files have been published yet. A countdown timer is active for each company, suggesting that they are being pressured to meet the attackers’ demands to prevent a data leak.

The targeted organizations allegedly include entities from the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, highlighting the global reach of the ransomware group. The diverse list of victims underscores that companies of all sizes and sectors remain vulnerable to such attacks. The victims of this alleged multi-national cyberattack are:

  • MeamarGroup 🇪🇬 – An Egyptian company specializing in real estate development, contracting, and investment services.
  • WZV Warndt 🇩🇪 – A German municipal water association founded in 1909, responsible for the drinking water supply in parts of Völklingen and the municipality of Großrosseln.
  • Plazadental – A company that operates dental clinics in San Jose.
  • HeavenlyDental 🇺🇸 – A company that operates dental clinics in San Jose, United States.
  • The Fixing Company 🇮🇪 – An Irish provider of premium fixing solutions and building materials for the construction industry.
  • Rulmaksan Makina 🇹🇷 – A Turkish company that operates within the Consumer Services industry.
